I had expected to make this announcement weeks ago, but anyone who knows me personally through the Internet will likely already know that this year has been filled with back-to-back problems at this end.

Server Migration that left our sites touch and go for a few weeks…

And then our domain registrar getting busted by ICANN – leaving us unable to update our DNS records – taking our sites down for 16 days…

Now that the problems are behind us, we were finally able to get in and work out the final problems to bring this application fully operational. The hold-up had been in getting quotation marks to work as intended in the blog posts… That has finally been resolved, and we turned on this application to enable it to start sending articles to all of the blogs in our system that have “agreed to receive content” from us.

By nature of how we have this thing set up, it may take a couple weeks for your site to start seeing articles once articles are sent to your blog.

We have randomized the delivery order to blogs, and each article is only sent to one blog per day. So, if an article is slated to deliver to 30 blogs, and your blog catches the sort order in last position, it will be 30 days before you see that first article.

But since we are distributing dozens of articles per week, your blog will very likely see its first article within just a couple of weeks.

Have patience and confidence in us, as once you are in the regular daily rotation, you will truly enjoy having access to this free service.

We have created our very first WordPress Plugin, designed to accomplish two goals.

1. Enable bloggers to easily accept articles from ThePhantomWriters.com article submission company; and
2. Enable our article submission company to build backlinks into the websites that support the content that we distribute.

You may note that we are firm believers in the concept of Karma – give to others and you shall be rewarded. By giving link popularity to those who choose to publish the articles we distribute, we are helping the publishers that use the content we distribute, we help our article distribution customers get more recognition, and in the end, we are also helping our own goals by improving the likelihood of writers using our service to distribute their articles.

Deep Links Are Important Too

If you talk to SEO professionals, many will explain that most webmasters make a mistake of only building links to the main page of their website.

We have written extensively on the topic of building “deep links” into a website – links that point to internal pages of a website in addition to links pointing to the homepage.

With this WordPress Plugin, we are enabling people to accept the articles we distribute. When an article is accepted, we capture the publication URL and provide links to the URL where the article is posted.

Our goal is to create a system where we reward the people who publish the articles we distribute, through The Phantom Writers article distribution service.

Building A Better Mouse Trap

Additionally, we know that people have made scripts to enable WordPress publishers to receive articles from our service, but to be perfectly frank, most of those scripts really left a lot to be desired. We knew we could do better, so we built this Backlinks Magnet WordPress Plugin to provide a better scripting solution for receiving content from our service.

Although we feel that our WordPress Plugin is better than most WordPress scripts available on the market, we are willing to take any constructive criticism, suggestions and feature requests people might want to give us.

We are considering offering an upgrade of this plugin that will permit other article submission companies to send their articles to your blog, but we don’t see that we could guarantee any backlinks on the articles they submit to your blog, since we don’t have working access to their distribution software.
